Because of the rhythm in this movie
- By the use of a large range of shooting. Danny Boyle uses it with an extreme dexterity.
- By contrast between striking realism of the shooting inside slums and the razzle-dazzle setting of the studio TV show where “Who wants to become a millionaire?” take place. Between every scene we are passing through the police’s office where Jamal is interrogated as an echo of the questioning in the TV show but in a full different register. And the answers are the same from disarming reality
- By A. R. Rahman’s music, Indian world music’s master. In parallel with the pictures, there is a real fusion between roots and actual rhythms.
Because this film is moving
- Shocking reality of Mombai’s kids lost with their survival instincts: their smiles, their tears, their struggle, and their frantic running to escape from a cynical reality.
- By the using of senseless TV show where every question will involve us in Jamal‘s ordeals. And were every answer will be an answer to the silliness and injustice of his life to bring it a new sense.
Because this film is appealing
- By it’s sound track one more time.Because Jamal is not just there to gain millions. You are at a cinema show, dreaming in love stories witch bring you some tears, catchy tears, cinema’s tears. Yes we are conscientious and we are there as well for that.
